Why Multiple Towels are College Essentials for Your Dorm Room

As a senior who’s lived in dorms for years, trust me – you need more than just one bath towel. Your dorm room essentials should include:

Bath towels (3-4): Laundry might not happen for a while, and you’ll want backups when one’s in the wash or still damp from your morning shower.

Hand towels (2-3): Perfect for quick hand-drying, wiping up small spills, or as a makeshift dish towel when eating in your room.

Beach/pool towel: Essential for swim class, lounging on the quad, or impromptu pool parties. Don’t use your regular bath towels for this.

Washcloths (4-5): Great for face-washing, removing makeup, or cleaning small messes. Having extras means you’re not constantly doing laundry.

Remember to choose durable, quick-drying fabrics – cheap towels fall apart fast in communal laundry machines. Dark colors hide stains better and look newer longer.
